Questions
FAQ
For hosts. Everything you'd want to know before saying yes.
What does it actually cost to host?
Nothing. There's no fee to host a Psi Party. Jonathan's evening is covered through the private readings guests book after the show. You provide the space and the people — that's it.
How many guests do I need?
A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20. Under 10 and the group show loses energy. Over 20 and the private readings run too late. The sweet spot is 12 to 16.
What kind of space do I need?
A living room or open space that seats your guests comfortably. A separate room or corner for private readings. That's all. No staging, no special lighting. Jonathan performs in whatever space you have.
What do I tell my guests?
Tell them they're invited to a private mind reading experience at your home. Jonathan will provide a shareable description you can forward. Most hosts find that "you have to see this" is all the selling that's needed.
Do my guests have to pay anything?
The group show is free for everyone. After the show, guests have the option to book a short private reading. Those who want one pay for it. Those who don't, don't. There's no pressure and no expectation.
What do I get as the host?
A private reading at no charge. You choose the format: tarot, palm reading, or a personal reading using Jonathan's own system. Your reading happens at the end of the evening before Jonathan leaves.
What time does it run?
Jonathan arrives at 6:30pm to set up. Guests arrive at 7:00pm. The group show runs 45 to 60 minutes. Private consultations follow. Jonathan is packed up and gone by 10:00pm.
Is the show appropriate for all ages?
Psi Parties are designed for grown ups. The mind reading show is the same show Jonathan performs at grown up venues. If you have guests with younger family members, reach out and we can talk through what makes sense.
How far in advance do I need to book?
At least two weeks out, ideally a month. Dates fill quickly and Jonathan needs time to confirm and prepare.
Do you travel outside Asheville?
Within the Western North Carolina region, yes. For longer travel, reach out and we'll work through the details.
